Washnook.com is a static website with no accounts, no comment form and no newsletter. Last updated 14 October 2026.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which store links are clicked. It records things like the page viewed, referrer, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and events such as clicking a “Check price” button, including which product and where on the page it was clicked. We don’t send names, email addresses or other directly identifying information to Google.

Our GA4 measurement ID is G-YN0D1T018W. Besides standard page views, we send one custom event, affiliate_click, with non-personal fields only: the product (product_id), the store (merchant, link_domain), where on the page the link was (placement, link_position), the page type and site name. The Compatibility Finder sends tool_start and tool_complete; the latter includes only a short result code (for example “go-pump-high”), not your individual answers. We don’t load Google’s own tag in your browser. Your browser sends these events to washnook.com, and Cloudflare Zaraz (Cloudflare, Inc.) forwards them to Google Analytics from Cloudflare’s servers. Zaraz passes along your IP address and browser user-agent so Google can work out approximate location and device type. A small Zaraz script loads asynchronously when the page starts loading.

To tell visits apart, Zaraz sets first-party cookies on washnook.com (cfz_google-analytics_v4, cfzs_google-analytics_v4) that hold a random visitor ID, a session ID and counters. Zaraz also sets an empty cf_zaraz_client cookie for itself, for every visitor. Google signals, Google audiences, ad personalisation and advertising storage are off (Google Consent Mode v2: ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are denied), so this data isn’t used for ads.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: we don’t send anything to Google Analytics (we check your country on Cloudflare’s servers), and no analytics cookies are set.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, or your device’s time zone is in Europe, we also send nothing to Google Analytics and set no analytics cookies.
To opt out on this site, turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser, or block washnook.com/cdn-cgi/zaraz/ with a content blocker. Google’s opt-out add-on does not affect server-side forwarding.

Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Cloudflare processes it under the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Amazon and other stores

Once you reach Amazon or another store, their own privacy policy applies. Amazon may use cookies to credit a purchase to our associate tag (washnook-20).

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and page-load performance without cookies or local storage and without fingerprinting. It is not used for ads.

Hosting and email

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may keep standard request logs for security and performance. If you email hello [at] washnook.com , the message stays in ordinary email.
